Leeland’s much anticipated sophomore release, OPPOSITE WAY, hit stores on February 26. Fellow musicians lauded the band’s first album, SOUND OF MELODIES, which garnered one GRAMMY and four Dove Award nominations.
The new album is produced by Matt Bronleewe, the producer of the title track on SOUND OF MELODIES. OPPOSITE WAY is mixed by Leeland newcomer Ben Grosse, who’s worked with Ben Folds and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Radio listeners have already gotten a taste of OPPOSITE WAY’s 11 tracks with the first single, "Count Me In." Leeland is named for the band’s 17-year-old lead singer, Leeland Mooring, who said about the band’s newest recording:
"OPPOSITE WAY is a call to our generation to passionately walk the ‘opposite way’ of the world; that it’s OK to live the Christian life and be on fire for God, even if it makes us look different. We want to encourage, inspire and raise up a new generation of worshippers."
