“Sometimes my wife just looks at me when something a little ‘heavier’ comes on. We both know the message though, and this letter is about one of those songs. I guess it has been a little over a week ago since I first heard Barlow Girl's ‘Never Alone’. It first caught my ear musically, because there is something about a good rock song with an orchestra back drop that I just love. However, the more you would play it those words would just resound in my head ‘can not separate because your part of me’ and that is just one phrase of that amazing song. Here is where God takes a gift like that song and anoints it for that one moment in time where you really need it. My wife was seven weeks pregnant with our third child, in our young 6 1/2 year marriage, when I got a call at work about 2:30pm my wife telling me she was bleeding heavily and that she was going to the hospital. As I grab my things and run frantically to my car not ten seconds into my drive to the hospital that song comes on speeding down the street I have a peace that I could not have had if God had not orchestrated that song ‘Never Alone’ at that moment for me. My wife the strongest most spiritually mature woman I know lost her child and she looks up at me less than 20 minutes from the doctor giving us the official word and says, ‘Now this is just one more way God has given us to help those who are hurting’”
