Genesis

Since the appearance of its first edition in 1901, Gunkel's commentary on Genesis has been one of the most influential standards in the field. Remarkably, only the introduction has been translated into English (under the title The Legends of Genesis). Gunkel wrote the introduction last as a sum of the results of the detailed study contained in the commentary. Now both the introduction and the full commentary are available in one convenient and readable volume.
