Poetry is a gift from God, given to and written from the heart of poets. In that spirit, Poetry: Music from My Heart presents an inspiring collection of poems about finding hope in our Lord and Savior to help us handle our struggles. We exist to serve God, but sometimes we need someone to help us find our way. Without God, life can seem too difficult and too hopeless; poet Laura Ekiss has written her poetry from the heart to show us the way.
To introduce each poem, Laura has included a brief explanation of her motivation for writing the poem-whether it's to remember a teacher's last year on the job or to question why Jesus can't be mentioned in the schools. Her poems are meant to bring hope, encouragement, peace, and strength to those who read them.
Poetry: Music from My Heart was written over several years and seeks to bring healing and comfort to all. I take a step forward,
The world knocks me back. I adjust God's armor.
Now I am ready to press forward after Satan's feeble attack. I am not walking alone.
His Holy Spirit is within me, with
His untapped power,
ready to defend me. from "God's Day, God's Way"
