Settling in

Settling In is a collection of meditations that came from the journal of Richard Morgan when, at age 74, he moved to a retirement community in Pennsylvania. Reflecting on his experience, the author identified three major stages in his spiritual journey:
- Initial excitement and euphoria;
- Second thoughts and regrets;
- Discerning his life in the community.
These meditations will help those who are considering entering a continuing care/retirement community and for the adult children and caregivers of persons facing such a decision. The author's generous sharing of his own experience will help prepare those considering a life transition and also help their loved ones to understand the struggles older adults go through as they seek to make a place their home.
