He was a friend to everybody - the kind of guy everyone wanted to be around. He had a quality that drew people in. So, there was no question that the friends of Gene Eugene (Lost Dogs, Adam Again, producer & engineer) would come together to honor him through his music after his untimely passing. Adam Again: A Tribute To Gene Eugene was recorded live at the Cornerstone Festival in July 2000. It was an opportunity for those closest to Gene to celebrate his music, friendship and the time he had with them and share it with his audience at the festival. Many of Christian modern rock's finest participated at the tribute show -The 77s, The Choir, Undercover, Adam Again, LSU and Over The Rhine - to cover many of Gene Eugene's favorite Adam Again songs. The concert was taped live before 6,000+ festival goers as well as video taped with a three camera crew. In addition, the video of the show along with rare footage of Gene will be included as an extra enhanced CD.
Adam Again: A tribute to Gene Eugene also includes the debut solo release from Adam Again's Greg Lawless. Lawless, the groups lead guitarist and co-writer since the very beginning of the band has just finished his first solo effort, Prayers And Lowsongs. Acoustically based, these ten songs offer a warm lyrical reflection of his faith and family intertwined with seasoned melodic song-crafting.
