Chapter Excerpt

Chapter One

Acceptance

God said, "You are my servant; I have chosen you and have not rejected you." Isaiah 41:9

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Romans 15:7

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

Jesus said, "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away." John 6:37

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! Psalm 133:1

Jesus said, "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me." Matthew 10:40

Jesus said, "Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, `Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Matthew 5:42-44

To love [God] with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices. Mark 12:33

For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own. 1 Samuel 12:22

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ He chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. Ephesians 1:3-5

Chapter Two

Accomplishment

Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12

"Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the Lord Almighty. Zechariah 4:6

A longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

Whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. Philippians 3:7-9

The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:11

With [God's] help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. Psalm 18:29

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3
