Product DescriptionAnatoly Lyadov belonged to the "Western" school of 19th century Russian composers and was associated with the Russian Moguchaya Kuchka (The Five), with Romantic character pieces, dances and contrapuntal forms predominating in his piano music. Common to these works is the clarity of polished classical forms (expressed in a light rather than severe manner) and the natural joy of making music, which can easily carry the performer into its realm as well. This volume contains works composed between 1876 and 1883. This Urtext edition is based on the autograph manuscripts and/or first editions of the works. A biographical sketch of Lyadov is included.
