Narnia Bingo Cards
Turn an ordinary shoebox into a Narnia
What You Need:
- Shoebox
- Craft paint in green, red, yellow, brown
- Household sponge
- Paper plate
- Water
- Scissors
- Polymer clay
- Heart clay punch
- White glue
What You Do:
- Use a marker or pen and design your box using your favorite Narnia patterns.
- Pour craft paint onto a paper plate. Dampen a rectangular piece of household sponge with water, and dip it in the paint. Sponge-paint the outside of the shoebox to create a light stain - paint may need to be thinned a little with water.
- Use a spiral-shaped wire tool to try to outline your design
- Add dimension to the decorations on the box with polymer-clay figures. Condition the clay by working it in your hands. You can create your own scroll shapes, or figures and bake them according to the directions. Use your imagination, and create lions, castles, unicorns, etc. Attach them to the box with white glue.
- Run clay through a pasta machine to create sheets that can be decorated and glued.
Narnia Box (Advanced)
This is an extremely simple way to create a Narnia Box
What You Do:
- Buy a plain, unfinished wood box from your local craft store. Make sure that there is no debris on the box , because you are going to be painting or staining it.
- Create a design on your box using a thin marker or a transfer material - finding an outline image of Narnia images work best and color the areas separately.
- Use a woodburning tool or a chisel on the outlines of the images.
- Apply wood stain or craft paint to finish up the box design.
- Varnish or Decoupage the box
- Line the box with Velvet, felt or cotton
