Brennan Manning

Brennan Manning

Born in Depression-era New York City, Brennan Manning has led a full life. Following a restless search for something “more” in life, he entered seminary, where a powerful experience of the personal love of Jesus Christ sealed the call of God on his life. After his ordination to the Franciscan priesthood, he committed to an uncloistered, contemplative life among the poor in Spain. Later, in the U.S., Brennan ran a successful college campus ministry in Florida and ministered to shrimpers and their families. On the heels of a recovery from alcoholism, he began writing in earnest—emphasizing the good news of God’s unconditional love in Jesus Christ.

Brennan Manning has been dazzingly faithful in preaching and writing variations on that singular theme - "Yes, Abba is very fond of you!" In this his final book, Brennan roves back his past, honoring the lives of the people closest to him, family and friends who've known the saint and the sinner, the boy and the man. Far from some chronological timeline, these memories are witness to the truth of life by one who has lived it - "All Is Grace."
