Brennan Manning
Born in Depression-era New York City, Brennan Manning has led a full life. Following a restless search for something “more” in life, he entered seminary, where a powerful experience of the personal love of Jesus Christ sealed the call of God on his life. After his ordination to the Franciscan priesthood, he committed to an uncloistered, contemplative life among the poor in Spain. Later, in the U.S., Brennan ran a successful college campus ministry in Florida and ministered to shrimpers and their families. On the heels of a recovery from alcoholism, he began writing in earnest—emphasizing the good news of God’s unconditional love in Jesus Christ.
